“ I have learned to avoid items that look extremely different in every product photo. Price is important to me, but quality and comfort are even more important in the long run. The main things I look at for glasses are frame weight, hinge quality and lens coating. I think it is better to build a small collection of reliable products than to buy random cheap things. In the end it is all about finding what matches your own habits and lifestyle.

I think this is one of the few real advantages we have compared to shopping blindly. For daily use items I try to balance price, build quality and real user feedback. I like when a shop clearly shows PD, lens height and bridge width in millimeters. Forums, blogs and communities create a kind of collective memory for shoppers.
